Flagship course
Cloud Cost Visual Ops
An eight-week path for analysts and FinOps partners who need a durable visualization layer — not another one-off slide deck when invoices spike.
What you will build
You leave with a documented metric contract, a prototype dashboard suite for variance and ownership, and a weekly ops checklist your team can run without the instructor present.
Learning outcomes
- Model cloud cost dimensions so tags, accounts, and products stay coherent across charts.
- Select visual encodings that match allocation vs. anomaly vs. forecast questions.
- Facilitate a 30-minute cost review using a shared board instead of competing spreadsheets.
- Document limitations honestly — including data lag and incomplete tagging.
Curriculum
Modules
- 01
Billing archaeology
Inventory sources, lag, and currency quirks before you draw a single bar.

Define cost objects, ownership keys, and accepted nulls that charts must respect.
- 03
Variance narratives
Build month-over-month and cohort visuals that survive executive interruptions.
- 04
Ownership heat & allocation
Map shared services without inventing false precision.
- 05
Anomaly surfaces
Design signals that invite investigation instead of panic.
- 06
Ops rituals
Weekly and monthly cadences so the platform stays trusted after launch.

Learner notes
“Module 04’s ownership heatmap forced us to admit our tag policy was theatre. Painful — and useful.”

Solid labs. Wish the anomaly week had one more evening session for timezone-spread teams.

FAQ
Do I need a BI tool already?
No. We work in tool-agnostic sketches first, then map patterns to common platforms. Bring whatever your company already licenses.
Will this lower my cloud bill automatically?
No. This course improves how you see and discuss cost. Savings depend on decisions your org makes after the visuals are trusted. We do not sell optimization scripts or reserved-instance brokers.
What is a real limitation of the program?
We intentionally use anonymized extracts. If your environment has exotic marketplace charges or private rates, you will still need internal data owners to extend the model after the cohort.
Is payment available on this website?
No. Pricing here is informational. Enrollment is arranged via contact — we send invoices separately.
